HAVELOCK ISLAND REGION : Andaman & Nicobar Islands 

Situated about 30 kms from Port Blair, Havelock Island boasts of pristine beaches, coral reef and is ideal for scuba diving. The Havelock Island comprises a cluster of small islands known as Ritchie fs Archipelago. 

The famous and beautiful Radhanagar Beach is a haven for beach lovers. The silky white sand backed by a forest, turquoise waters, stretches with a sandy bottom good for swimming and some excellent coral reefs that are great for snorkelling. Who wouldn ft fall in love yet again? The beach is a favourite amongst most people, be it an adventure lover or someone who seeks solitude in exploring the forest or someone who prefers walking on the beach enjoying the quiet and calm air while the white sand slips through their toes. At most times, there is a man who offers elephant rides through the forest for a fee. It is said that the sunsets on this beach are truly remarkable, so remember to stick around till the sun meets the calm waters while you click among and hopefully hear the ethud f sound of the sun greeting the beach.

Situated further north from Radhanagar, Elephant Beach is also popular due to its lush coral reef and a favourite among certified snorkellers.

ADVENTURE SPORTS : Apart from surfing , scuba diving and snorkelling, one can indulge in sea-walking, trekking, mangrove safari and fishing.

Sea Walking on the Elephant Beach with a transparent helmet kind of an apparatus on the head. The oxygen is supplied into the helmet through an oxygen cylinder that is kept in the pontoon. The helmet is transparent and you can easily see what is around. You can get a glimpse of the underwater world, witness beautiful corals, feed fish and indulge in underwater photography.

GANGTOK, NATHU LA 

REGION : Sikkim

The entire state of Sikkim is mountainous, boasts of 28 peaks and Khangchendzonga being the world fs third-highest mountain. One of the most popular tourist areas of Sikkim is in the East District consists of Gangtok, Rumtek, Changu Lake, Nathu La and Khangchendzonga.

The capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok is located on a ridge at the height of 5,500 ft. To get a bird fs eye-view of the capital, take a ride on the cable car. The one kilometre ride from Deorali to Tashiling Secretariat is completed in 7 minutes. Take your family to Hanuman Tok, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is said that when Lord Hanuman was flying with the eSanjeevani f mountain to save Rama fs brother Laxman, he rested in this spot where his temple is now.

Nathu La is a mountain pass situated at 14,450 ft and borders India and China. Nathu La used to be a main gateway on the silk route until it was closed in 1962. It is one of the highest motorable roads and is richly covered by many varieties of alpine flora and fauna. Nathu La is  open  for 5 days a week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Visitors have to get a permit to visit the  place  by applying to the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department through a registered and recognised Travel Agency. Foreign nationals are not allowed to visit Nathu La.

The Rumtek Monastery is one of the most significant and largest monasteries in Gangtok. Built in the 16th century, the monastery walls depict history and culture.
