Gangtok - The Place To Enjoy Hospitality

Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim, one of the smallest states in India. Situated at a distance of 120Kms from Siliguri, it is the largest city in the state of Sikkim. Gangtok is the center of Sikkim tourism industry. Gangtok is a centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture and learning, with the presence of several monasteries, religious educational institutions, and centres for Tibetology.

The city resembles the Bhutanese capital. Devoid of large stores, book shops this place is an nice break away from typical city lives. Still, the city is a fascinating place to spend a few nights, the winding side alleys hide some unexpected gems, and the main street (MG Marg) is pedestrianized and a pleasant place to take a stroll. The city sleeps by 9pm mostly, except for a few pubs which are open till 11pm.

Sikkim has many restrictions on vehicle movement as it is a bordering state with Peoples Republic of China, Nepal and Bhutan.
